~Welcome~

Sheila K. Anderson is the founder of LupusResource.com. LupusResource.com offers support for individuals and families touched by Lupus. In light of her own personal struggles with lupus, she recognizes the challenges that accompany a chronic illness. Sheila is determined to maintain an active lifestyle as a wife, mother, and professional. In doing so, she has found it helpful to adopt the perspective that living with lupus is an added responsibility—a responsibility comparable to the arrival of a first child, or perhaps the pressure associated with a new job.

Lupus demands attention and requires care. It creates opportunities to be intentional about efforts to budget time, conserve energy, and utilize resources.
The great news about the decision to assume responsibility is that it does not leave you alone to fend for yourself.  In fact, it creates space for you to consider what resources are within your reach.

Living well means accepting lupus for what it is- a responsibility that often calls on you for care and attention. LupusResource.com is here to help you shoulder your new responsibility. We are glad you are here!

Our Daily Devotional:

Blessed

Matthew 5:3-6 NIV: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Looking back at my life, I consider the many things God has done. I consider his intercession, His intervention, His guidance and love. All in all, I cannot fully grasp how blessed beyond measure I truly am. And who can? In how many ways within each day does God in unseen ways help us? He is our guide, our refuge, our rock, and our fortress. He is our comfort, our help, our friend, and our advocate. He is our faithful Father and He is our dearest friend. And He is so easily taken for granted. Perhaps more so by those of us who have very little to want or need. One might wonder why we stand amazed by people who seem to have nothing, yet they praise God because they see themselves as blessed. Perhaps they are blessed more than those who seem to have much. For they cling to nothing but that which is unseen—beheld only in the face of God.
