96% of Illnesses' are Invisible National Invisible Illness Awareness Week
Lupus can
be one of those diseases that is not easily detected from outward appearance. Even if you happen to sport a butterfly
rash once in awhile the average person (who is not familiar with lupus) does not associate it with lupus or
any disease for that matter. They just hope it isn't catchy!!
I have been a part of the www.restministries.org Christian community for the past six months and have found some great support there. The site has
a number of chronic illness groups and other resources available.
The founder of Rest Ministries - Lisa
Copen, has also been influential in the push for recognition of those of us who suffer with invisible chronic illness. I
will be posting some more of her articles in my articles section in the near future. She has an amazing testimony
and is proof that running a successful business out of your home is a viable option for those of us hindered by health
related disabilities. More on that later.
Invisible Illness Awareness Week started yesterday!
